Instructional Focus

P. S. 1 K is a collaborative community where:

  • Administrators and teachers create an environment where risk-taking and questioning are promoted.
  • Administrators, teachers, parents and students learn with and from each other to develop knowledge of content and practice for our diverse learners.
  • Students engage in collaborative problem solving, and discourse of real world issues to become independent / confident critical thinkers.
  • Administrators, teachers, parents and students consistently collect, analyze and reflect on data sources.
